Florence hosts geniuses' lesser known works |
People on villa holidays in Tuscany can now visit the Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence as it exhibits a display of drawings and preliminary works by some of history's most revered artistic geniuses.
Holidaymakers can visit the exhibition, which includes cartoons, sketches and various other pieces of work which came before the finished article, until August 31st.
The range of artists featured in the display includes some instantly recognisable names such as Leonardo, Raphael and Botticelli.
Visitors should grab the opportunity to see the display items while they can, as most will be returned to their usual locations following the exhibition, where they can only be viewed by scholars.
People on villa holidays in Tuscany will find the Palazzo Medici Ricardi on Via Cavour in Florence.
The historic city is home to a number of museums and cultural establishments, including the Uffizi Gallery and the Bargello Museum.
