Girona blooms for flower season |
The charming city of Girona in north-eastern Spain will be flourishing into colour and vibrancy next month for its temps de flors, or flower season, show.
This event is held every year in the Barri Vell neighbourhood and the whole area is transformed by plants and floral displays.
A variety of locations and areas are involved in the floral exhibition, including monuments, courtyards and urban spaces that are turned into picturesque ornamental gardens.
People staying in Costa Brava villas will be able to visit the show between May 10th and 18th this year.
Girona is a city in Catalonia, a region of north-eastern Spain that is most famous for its capital, Barcelona.
Both of these locations are popular with people enjoying holidays on the Costa Brava. Another attraction of this region is its variety of walking routes, which includes trails around the Sils lake and the 'iron and coal' path, which links Ripoll with Sant Joan de les Abadesses.
