Head to Mallorca for Festival de Pollenca |
People staying in Mallorca villas this summer will be able to get a comprehensive experience of the island's musical culture.
The Festival de Pollenca 2008 will begin on July 4th and bring a number of shows and concerts to Mallorca before drawing to a close on August 30th.
A local focus will provide the beginning to the event, with the Balearic Symphonic Orchestra and the Balearic Islands University Choir performing Giuseppe Verdi's Misa de Requiem.
The final event in the festival on August 30th will have a more international feel, with Craig Adams and the Voices of New Orleans giving an invigorating gospel performance.
Along the way there will be shows by the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, the Michel Camilo Trio and others.
While they are not enjoying musical events, people staying in Mallorca villas can visit some of the island's many tourist attractions, including the Aqualand water park and Bellver castle.
