Ierokipeia festival to come to Cyprus |
Villa holidays in Cyprus this month will provide the opportunity for visitors to experience the cultural extravaganza of the Ierokipeia festival.
This event will get underway this week (September 12th) and will run for a fortnight, coming to an end on September 26th.
The focus of this year's festival will be on the traditional cultures of Cyprus, particularly dance, music and song.
People staying in holiday villas in western Cyprus, or indeed anywhere else on the island, will be able to attend performances at Agia Paraskevi Square in Geroskipou village, just outside Paphos.
The highlights of the festival include a Greek music concert on September 12th, Rempetika songs on September 17th and events organised to celebrate World Tourism Day on September 26th.
Another cultural event currently taking place in Cyprus is the Kypria International Festival, which will run at various venues around the island until the end of October.
