Major record fair in Barcelona |
Music lovers staying in Costa Brava villas at the end of October may be tempted to pay a visit to Barcelona to attend a record fair in the city.
The Fira del Disc Colleccionista, or Record Collectors' Fair, will be held at Barcelona's Palau Sant Jordi on the weekend of October 31st to November 2nd.
It is estimated that this event sells more than two million records, CDs, books and music memorabilia of every imaginable sort each year.
In the past the collectors' fair's auction event has even sold strands of hair that once belonged to music stars, as well as more traditional items such as clothes and instruments.
The Palau Sant Jordi is one of the major venues in Barcelona and people staying in Costa Brava villas will be able to attend a number of shows and events there over the coming months.
It was built by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki and was used as one of the main locations for sports events during the 1992 Olympic Games.
